Maverest, which will join other dental network under Zelis Healthcare’s Network Solutions business unit, is an independent dental PPL network.

Maverest covers all 50 states and includes more than 30,000 dentists with a high concentration in the Midwest.

Zelis Healthcare said the purchase allows it to continue its growth in the dental market.

“The addition of Maverest to our Network Solutions offerings will provide greater access to direct dental providers for our clients, as well as increased access to membership for Maverest dentists,” Doug Klinger, CEO of Zelis Healthcare, said in a statement. “We view this as a win-win and look forward to providing client-focused service to all parties.”

“The Maverest Dental Network has been a valued partner of Zelis for many years. We believe incorporating the network into our existing dental footprint enhances our ability to serve the dental payer community. We also recognize the value of increasing our direct provider relationships to ensure we are supporting the growing need to expand access to our clients and their members,” Tina Ellex, president of Network Solutions for Zelis Healthcare, said in a prepared statement.

Financial terms were not disclosed.
