Edison Partner’s Vice President Jennifer Lee has had quite a year. In October, Lee was one of 25 professionals named a Business Insider Rising Star on Wall Street – a list that featured fellow honorees from companies like Blackstone, Goldman Sachs and BlackRock. Then in November, NYC Fintech Women included Lee as a “Money Mover,” out of 3,000 members from startups and investment firms, on its 2019 list of Inspiring Fintech Females.
And on Dec. 4, Edison Partners announced Lee’s promotion to principal, effective immediately.
In the new position, Lee will expand upon her role in the Princeton-based growth equity firm’s Fintech group from senior team member and investment lead to include oversight of pipeline development and fostering industry themes.

In 2019, Lee led ventures in real estate investment and funding platform Fund that Flip and Bipsync, a research management platform serving asset managers – and is currently a board member for both. She was also involved in Edison Partner’s $62 million lead investment in YieldStreet and with its $100 million Series C round in MoneyLion, and serves as a board advisor at those companies.
“This has been a rewarding year to be part of the Edison team while leading investments in exceptional growth stage firms,” Lee said. “I am excited to continue providing value to the firm, our portfolio companies, and capital partners.”
Lee’s work prior to 2019 includes transactions for Bento for Business and Giant Oak.
“We are pleased to promote Jennifer who has demonstrated strong results, as well as the spirit, intellect and deep networks that we look for in leaders at Edison,” said Managing Partner Chris Sugden. “This past year she led new investments, has been a constant source of quality deal flow and delivered significant value-add to a number of important Edison investments, gaining the trust and respect of the CEOs and executives in these companies.”
Lee is also an active public speaker and appears as a contributor on Yahoo Finance. She is a mentor for Fintech programs at Village Capital and a member of the Center for a New American Security’s Forum on Financial Technology. In 2018, she met with members of the U.S. Treasury to discuss financial regulations and educate staffers on Capitol Hill about Fintech, contributing to the Treasury’s Fintech Industry Report.
