Fluffy Fluffy’s buzzworthy Japanese-style soufflé pancakes are coming to Cranford.
Located at 100 N. Union Ave., the all-day café will host a three-day grand opening celebration starting July 10.
The eatery will offer freebies for guests who register ahead of time as part of the festivities.
Additionally, the first 50 customers who buy pancakes between July 10 and 12 will score Fluffy Fluffy merchandise, while supplies last. According to chain, the café will operate from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. during the grand opening.
Though Fluffy Fluffy is best known for its signature souffle pancakes, the eight-year-old concept also serves made-to-order croffles (croissant waffles), desserts, coffee, tea and specialty beverages. The Toronto-born chain has grown into a social media sensation with 70-plus across the U.S., U.K., Canada, China, France and Morocco.
Fluffy Fluffy entered the U.S. market in late 2023 with a franchised site in Orlando. By 2030, the company aims to grow its domestic footprint from 16 cafes to 300 locations via franchising, according to QSR Magazine.
After debuting in New Jersey last March at Newport Centre in Jersey City, the brand added an outpost in the fall on Route 27 in Edison.
In Cranford, Garnet Liew owns and operates the location, according the Downtown Cranford municipal organization.
She recently told the special improvement district group that she and her husband were drawn to the franchise because they saw it “as the perfect opportunity to share what we love about food, especially since we’re big dessert lovers.”
Liew also praised the support they’ve received from the downtown district.
“We’ve already met so many potential customers and neighboring business owners. We can’t wait to see customers enjoy the food and look forward to becoming part of this incredible community,” she stated.
