Eight New Jersey restaurants are among the top 100 Most Loved All Star Restaurants in the United States, per a DoorDash list unveiled June 13.

This is the first iteration of a list that will come out annually to highlight some of the nation’s most beloved restaurants. While several states didn’t make the list at all, New Jersey restaurants nabbed eight spots, including several Asian restaurants, an Italian restaurant, a Mexican restaurant, and a sandwich place.

The New Jersey honorees are:

• Aikou Asian Cuisine in Morristown
• Folklore Artisanal Taco in Chatham Township
• Koi Asian Fusion Lounge in Brick
• Koi Hibachi & Kitchen in Toms River
• Noodle House + Kung Fu Tea in Princeton
• Pasta Volo in Asbury Park
• Tony Boy’s Sandwich House in Livingston
• Yama Sushi in Manalapan

“Being Most Loved is not just about serving good food, it’s also about being dependable and operationally efficient,” said DoorDash President Christoper Payne. “These are the restaurants in our local communities that deliver a great meal and always go that extra mile. It’s our honor to celebrate these amazing partners that make DoorDash great and the experience for our shared customers top-notch.”

DoorDash generated its Most Loved All Stars list by analyzing data from April 2021 to April 2022. All restaurants that achieved Most Loved status for 10 or more months qualified for All Star in-app promotion and relevant local lists. Restaurants with five locations or less that achieved Most Loved status for 12 months in a row were ranked by average overall customer rating with the top 100 being named to the list.
