Eighty-five restaurants in New Jersey are among the best in the world when it comes to wine offerings, according to Wine Spectator magazine.
In its 2024 Restaurant Awards, the self-described “world’s leading authority on wine” recognized 3,777 dining destinations from all 50 states in the U.S. and more than 75 countries internationally.
Launched in 1981, the Restaurant Awards Program is designed to elevate wine selection and service around the world as well as encourage strong programs that complement a variety of cuisines, settings and prices. The recognition is one of the only that focuses exclusively on restaurant wine services.
Commenting on this year’s list, Wine Spectator Editor and Publisher Marvin Shanken said, “The restaurant industry is growing and thriving, with restaurant openings surpassing pre-pandemic levels for the first time. To take advantage of the uptick, restaurateurs are investing in their wine programs. Restaurants that make wine a priority are what the Wine Spectator Restaurant Awards program is all about.”
He added, “I’m pleased to congratulate all 3,777 restaurants for their dedication to wine and exemplary wine lists.”
