American Dream will soon have an answer to a timeless question: “Can you tell me how to get to Sesame Street?”
The East Rutherford megamall is teaming up with the makers of Sesame Street on a state-of-the-art immersive experience featuring the iconic street and its beloved characters.
The 13,000-square-foot Sesame Street Learn & Play educational center is set to debut later this year near the ice rink. The design of the space aims to transport children to the world of Sesame Street. There, they can take part in immersive experiences that foster playful learning, American Dream said in a news release.
Kids will be able to learn about the rainforest in Elmo’s World or role-play a shopping experience in Hooper’s Store. They can also explore Abby Cadabby’s magical garden or share laughs with Bert and Ernie.
A community center will offer arts & crafts as well as a bike shop to learn about cranks and gears.
A playground will allow children to discover fun facts about nature as they climb and slide. A separate toddler play area will also be available for younger guests.
Sesame Street Learn & Play will offer photo ops in front of the 123 Sesame Street building stoop and Oscar’s trash can, stories with Big Bird and surprise visits from Abby and Elmo.
Party rooms will be available for booking events. And the Sesame Street retail store will complement the memorable experience, according to American Dream.
American Dream also recently a museum of incongruous perceptions and an interactive gaming experience to its lineup of attractions. Click here to read (and see) more.
