Ascend Wellness opens Rochelle Park dispensary

Ascend Wellness Holdings Inc. opened its second medical cannabis dispensary in New Jersey in Rochelle Park on May 16.
Located at 174 Route-17 N., the dispensary is the first in Rochelle Park. Ascend employs 65 people at the location and is accepting new patients.
“We are thrilled to open Ascend Rochelle Park and remain committed to meeting patients’ needs through an elevated patient journey,” said Chris Melillo, chief revenue officer of AWH, in a prepared statement.
“Built to complete the customer purchase process quickly and at scale, our new location will help meet the rising demand for affordable, safe medical cannabis products in New Jersey. We are grateful for the support of Deputy Mayor Gail Artola and Rochelle Park residents in the opening of our dispensary,” Melillo said.
This is the 18th medical cannabis dispensary in New Jersey serving more than 104,000 patients statewide.
AWH is partnering with cannabis criminal justice reform nonprofit Last Prisoner Project and has matched the $125,000 total raised in customer donations, the company said.
