The guest list for ‘s 20th anniversary celebration on Aug. 24 was a who’s who of celebrities, executives and elected officials. 

Gathered at its first property, the Liberty House Restaurant at 76 Audrey Zapp Drive in Jersey City, attendees included Landmark founders Frank and Jeanne Cretella; members of Wu-Tang Clan; Grandmaster Flash; performer and Wyckoff native Constantine Maroulis; state Sen. Sandra Cunningham, D-31st District; Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop; former New Jersey Gov. Jim McGreevey; New Hope Mayor Larry Keller; former Jersey City Mayor Jerry Healy; Rutherford Mayor Frank Nunziato; Jersey City Council President Joyce Watterman; and Assemblyman Raj Mukherji, D-33rd District. 

Landmark’s portfolio includes restaurants, venues and boutique hotels in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. According to its website, Landmark employs more than 900 people, whom they refer to as “Memorymakers.” 

“Celebrating 20 years of making memories at Liberty House was such an honor because it gave us the opportunity to highlight our extraordinary team,” Jeanne Cretella told NJBIZ. “Frank and I are so grateful to our team as well as our valued partners, family and friends who contributed to the night’s excitement and success.”

Jeanne Cretella said one of the highlights of the evening was recognizing their Memorymakers, “many of which have been with us since we began this journey 20 years ago.”

“It’s their level of dedication and commitment to excellence that has allowed Landmark and Liberty House to grow year after year. They’ve never lost sight of the importance of creating an atmosphere that is both welcoming and nourishing for our guests and fellow team members,” she said.

According to its website, the Cretellas – including daughter Maddy – focus on transforming historic or underutilized properties into residential complexes as well as retail, office and hospitality spaces.  

Since Liberty House opened in 2001, it and other Landmark properties have welcomed a host of celebrities, elected officials and others, including former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton; Oprah; Jennifer Lopez; the cast of the Sopranos and others.

Jeanne Cretella said she and the team are looking forward to “many more years to come.”
