A recently renovated hotel in Central Jersey is under new ownership.
As part of a transaction that closed March 6, JDK Management sold the Hampton Inn Flemington to locally based Kenish Patel of Jay Sai Corp., commercial real estate brokerage Berkadia Hotels & Hospitality announced in a press release.
Leading the transaction on behalf of the Bloomsburg, Pa.-based seller, Berkadia did not disclose financial terms.
Located just off Route 202, the 84-room, three-story branded hotel features amenities such as an indoor pool, spa tub, fitness facilities, business center and complimentary continental breakfast. The site also includes more than 6,000 square feet of leasable restaurant space, Berkadia said.
Built 24 years ago, the property underwent a $4 million renovation in 2024, according to Berkadia. Over the past year, Hampton Inn Flemington achieved $2.7 million in room revenue and revenue per available room of $88, the firm said.
In addition to close proximity to downtown Flemington, the property is near destinations such as the Dutch Country Farmers Market and Famous Trails Theater, as well as major local employers like 3M, Johanna Foods and Kuhl. It’s also about 20 miles from Princeton University and Trenton-Mercer Airport.
In an effort to present a turnkey operation with potential for revenue and efficiency improvements, the site was offered below replacement cost and did not require property improvement plan money, according to Berkadia.
Other hotels around the state undergoing (or have completed) renovations are the historic Grand Summit Hotel in Summit (see photos here) and The Heldrich Hotel and Conference Center in New Brunswick (read that story here).
