CityMD has opened its 24th New Jersey location at 1640 Route 22 in Watchung, the company announced Jan. 25.
The new site, which is open 365 days a year, is the provider’s 152nd location overall. The urgent care center can see patients suffering from a broad range of maladies including upper respiratory infections, colds and flu, pink eye, croup, minor orthopedic injuries, and nosebleeds. Rapid testing for flu, strep throat, mononucleosis, UTIs and other conditions are available at the location, which also has X-ray and EKG machinery.
CityMD, the New York metro area’s largest urgent care chain, has continued its expansion since merging with Berkeley Heights-based Summit Health in 2019. Its 24 New Jersey medical centers are scattered throughout Bergen, Hudson, Union, Middlesex, Morris, Essex, Passaic, Ocean, Monmouth, and Somerset counties.
