Heading into 2024, Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC is changing things in its Real Estate Group.
Last week, CSG Law introduced new leadership – and branding – within that practice, which the Roseland-based law firm said reflects its growth and commitment to meeting the needs of its industry clients.
Described as prominent redevelopment veterans “now stepping up” to management, co-Chairs Lisa John-Basta and Thomas Trautner Jr. as well as Practice Group Leader Jennifer Porter will lead the renamed Redevelopment, Land Use & Zoning Group. The rebranded Real Property Taxation and Incentives Group will be chaired by John Lloyd, the leader of the property taxation bar.
“The significant growth of the firm’s Real Estate Group has created the opportunity to establish the Redevelopment, Land Use & Zoning Group and rebrand our Real Property Taxation and Incentives Group, all in order to align with client needs,” said Francis Giantomasi, member of the executive committee, CSG Law.
The firm celebrated the strength of its real estate team, attributing it to members’ industry knowledge and their collective experience at the intersection of the public and private sectors. It described the Real Estate Group as “the ‘go-to,’ full-service, one-stop team for thoughtful, efficient and cost-effective solutions.”
As part of the larger practice, CSG Law said the rebranded Redevelopment, Land Use & Zoning and Real Property Taxation and Incentives groups are able to collaborate easily with the Environmental, Corporate & Securities and Tax groups, in addition to consulting with engineering, architectural, environmental science and planning firms.

The move is the latest good news for CSG Law. The 2023 NJBIZ Business of the Year finalist said it achieved record revenue growth last year, topping $100 million, and hired more than 35 attorneys–allowing for expanded services (such as patent protection and intellectual property litigation). This fall, the firm added former federal judge John Michael Vazquez to its Litigation and White Collar Defense & Investigations groups.
CSG Law earns high marks, in kind, from its team, which boosted the firm to No. 14 in the NJBIZ Best Places in New Jersey awards (Large Companies) earlier this year.
