Eatontown-based meal delivery service is teaming up with “Jersey Shore” star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino on a line of chicken tenders and French fries.

BDS Tendies and Fries is named after the MTV reality star’s Big Daddy Sitch moniker. Along with the launch, the company pledged to donate $1 from every meal purchased to the Tigger Stavola Foundation. The Monmouth County-based organization focuses on fighting addiction.

For Sorrentino – a friend of Eat Clean Bro founder and President Jaime Giovinazzo – the nonprofit is close to his heart. The organization was founded 11 years ago, after Tigger Stavola accidentally overdosed and died at the age of 25.

As part of its mission, the foundation aims to spread awareness and save lives through drug prevention and education. Its partners include local school districts, as well as Hackensack Meridian Health Carrier Clinic.

Paying it forward

In a statement on the new collaboration, Sorrentino said, “It’s an honor to be able to team up with both Eat Clean Bro and the Tigger Stavola Foundation to give back to such an important cause. Being in recovery has taught me so much, including the importance of paying it forward.”

The Manalapan native has been open about his past addiction and recovery for nearly a decade. “Like I always say, ‘The comeback is always greater than the setback,'” he said.

Eat Clean Bro launched in 2013. The service brings meals made with all natural ingredients that are free of processed food, chemicals and preservatives right to customers’ doorsteps.

BDS Tendies and Fries features crispy chicken tenders, fries and honey mustard sauce. It retails for $12.99. The 550-calorie meal packs 34 grams of protein and 4 grams of fiber.

It marks Sorrentino’s second partnership with Eat Clean Bro. In 2021, the company added his supplement line, Brotrition, to its offerings.
