Casual dining chain Buffalo Wild Wings is getting ready to unveil its newest restaurant in New Jersey.
Located at Centennial Square in Piscataway, the outpost is set to begin welcoming customers July 6.
Piscataway Mayor Brian Wahler will take part in the 10 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony. After, Buffalo Wild Wings will offer the first 100 guests in line a voucher to receive six free wings per week for a year.
According to the chain, the offer is only open to individuals age 18 or older.
Founded in 1982, Buffalo Wild Wings is known for its menu of game-day favorites, like bone-in and boneless wings tossed in signature sauces, burgers, chicken sandwiches and wraps. It also serves shareable appetizers, salads and desserts.
With more than 1,400 restaurants, Buffalo Wild Wings is considered the largest sports bar brand in the U.S. Piscataway will mark the chain’s 20th location in New Jersey.
Though most of its properties are full-service restaurants, the Inspire Brands-owned chain has a growing off-premises business through its Buffalo Wild Wings Go concept. The banner launched the takeout-focused concept six years ago as a way to meet growing demand for delivery and pickup orders. Since then, Buffalo Wing Wings has opened about 150 to-go sites.
Within New Jersey, Buffalo Wild Wings Go has locations in Barnegat, Bayonne, Fair Lawn, Haskell, Hainesport, Hillsborough, Jersey City, Kearney, Manahawkin, Midland Park, Saddle Brook, Sparta, Voorhees, Warren, West Caldwell and West Berlin.
AMPAL Group owns and operates the new Piscataway restaurant. The Green Brook-based team’s portfolio of restaurant, real estate and retail ventures includes seven other Buffalo Wild Wings locations.
AMPAL executive Amit Patel shared, “We’ve had our sights set on bringing Buffalo Wild Wings to Piscataway for more than a decade, so seeing it finally become a reality is incredibly rewarding. This is a vibrant market with passionate sports fans and a real sense of community. We can’t wait to welcome guests and give them a place to gather, celebrate every game and make lasting memories together.”
Buffalo Wild Wings said it expects the new site to create 80 jobs. Hiring is underway for front-of-house and back-of-house positions. Interested candidates can apply in person.
