Fresh off its National Women’s Soccer League championship run, NJ/NY Gotham FC has signed a new partnership with Sports Illustrated Tickets that will overhaul the club’s ticketing operations while introducing new fan-focused experiences at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison.

Under the agreement announced June 4, becomes Gotham FC’s Official Fan Experience and Ticketing Partner. In addition to powering the club’s primary ticketing platform, the partnership will introduce a series of in-stadium activations designed to deepen engagement through both digital and live experiences.

Among the planned initiatives are “Faces in the Crowd,” which will turn live fan reactions into digital Sports Illustrated-style covers and commemorative tickets, and “SI Defining Moments,” a feature highlighting key moments in Gotham FC history alongside some of the sports media brand’s most recognizable magazine covers.

“We’re proud to partner with Sports Illustrated Tickets as our Official Ticketing Partner,” said Gotham FC Chief Revenue Officer Alex Chang. “Sports Illustrated is one of the most recognizable brands in sports, and this collaboration creates an opportunity to build experiences that reflect the energy and passion surrounding our club.”

Fostering fan engagement

The deal comes as Gotham FC continues to build momentum on and off the field, while women’s soccer experiences rapid commercial growth across media, sponsorship and attendance. It also expands Sports Illustrated Tickets’ presence in professional soccer and women’s sports — areas that have drawn increasing investment in recent years.

The Gotham FC deal marks another significant soccer partnership for Sports Illustrated Tickets in the region.

The company began serving as the official ticketing partner of New York Red Bulls this season under a 12-year agreement announced in late 2024, helping power ticketing operations and fan engagement initiatives at Sports Illustrated Stadium. The addition of Gotham FC further expands the platform’s footprint across both men’s and women’s professional soccer in the New York-New Jersey market.

The partnership also reflects the growing emphasis sports organizations are placing on the fan experience as teams seek new ways to connect with supporters beyond the match itself. Gotham FC and Sports Illustrated Tickets said the collaboration will blend live-event innovation, storytelling and digital engagement through a series of activations designed to bring fans closer to the action.

“From matchday activations to storytelling moments that highlight our supporters, we’re excited to work together to elevate the entire fan journey for Gotham FC supporters,” Chang said.

“We’re proud to join Gotham FC, the champions of the NWSL, as its Official Fan Experience and Ticketing Partner,” said David Lane, CEO of Sports Illustrated Tickets. “Gotham FC has set a high standard in women’s professional soccer, and this relationship reflects our shared focus on making live sports more accessible and more engaging for fans.”

The effort will extend beyond matchdays through digital campaigns, fan offers and promotional activations tied to concerts and other events held at Sports Illustrated Stadium throughout the year.

“We look forward to enhancing the matchday experience and strengthening the connection between the club and its supporters,” Lane said.

As Gotham FC continues to capitalize on the rapid rise of women’s soccer, the partnership underscores how clubs are increasingly investing in technology, ticketing and fan engagement strategies aimed at turning casual attendees into year-round supporters.

The collaboration also further establishes Sports Illustrated Tickets as a growing player in the soccer marketplace, with partnerships now spanning both Gotham FC and the Red Bulls in one of the nation’s most active soccer markets, under the backdrop of World Cup fever that is sweeping the region.
