A Midwestern fast-casual chain known for its customizable burritos and signature sauces is expanding into New Jersey.

As part of a development deal with RSRN Hospitality, Hot Head Burritos expects to launch five restaurants in the Garden State, the Dayton, Ohio-born franchise said. Details on where and when those locations will open were not immediately available, but the company said it’s eyeing Middlesex, Somerset and Hudson counties.

Along with burritos, the brand also serves bowls, tacos, nachos, quesadillas and salads. It also features 16 signature sauces ranging from “mild” to “wild,” as well as gluten-free, vegetarian and allergy-friendly meal options.

Since its 2007 founding, Hot Head Burritos has grown to 85 locations across eight states.

According to the franchise, RSRN Hospitality’s team of restaurant and hospitality veterans were “drawn to Hot Head Burritos’ unique offerings, operational model and growth potential.”

Details on members of the franchise group were not immediately available.
