Amicus Therapeutics celebrated its new world headquarters in Princeton earlier in June. Located at 47 Hulfish St., Ware Malcomb provided interior architecture and design services for the 27,200-square-foot office.
The international design firm with offices in Newark and Princeton described the space as open, contemporary and sophisticated.
The design follows a neighborhood concept, centered on a common core. A series of cohesive elements serve to promote connectivity between flexible offices and the surrounding areas. Amicus occupies the fourth and fifth floors at a Palmer Square district building, one block from Princeton University. Founded in the early 2000s, the biotechnology company focuses on discovering, developing and delivering medicines for rare metabolic diseases.
Sweetwater Construction Corp. of Cranbury provided general contracting services for the project.
“We focused on creating a space that built upon Princeton’s community feel, as well as addressing Amicus’ desire for flexible workspaces and convenient amenities. Our team designed an interior to not only meet the employees’ functional needs but also enrich their overall experience, focusing on creating a sense of belonging and inspiration,” said Marlyn Zucosky, regional director, Ware Malcomb.
