The Lab Fabrication is expanding on the East Coast from North Jersey, following a new lease for 30,283 square feet of industrial space in Carlstadt.
The Metz Industrial Group of Edison-based Bussel Realty Corp. announced securing the tenant for the entirety of 620 Gotham Parkway in the Bergen County municipality July 6.
Based in California and operating in the advertising space, The Lab Fabrication offers custom fabrication, event marketing, product displays, installations and more. According to a company LinkedIn post announcing the expansion, “This move allows us to deliver complex experiential work at the highest level. Coast to coast and everywhere between.”
The Lab Fabrication also announced South Jersey native Shaun Edwards as managing director for The Lab’s East Coast operations.
In Carlstadt, the property sits on 1.9 acres. The building includes 6,300 square feet of office space along with:
620 Gotham Parkway also offers a Meadowlands location close to New York City. It provides easy access to New Jersey Turnpike, George Washington Bridge, the Lincoln and Holland tunnels, Port/Newark Elizabeth and Newark Liberty International Airport.
BRC Principal Jordan Metz along with Senior Associates Benito Abbate and James Friel of the Metz Industrial Group represented the tenant in the lease transaction. CBRE represented the landlord, Oliver Street Capital.
“620 Gotham Parkway provides the scale, infrastructure, and strategic location necessary to support their continued growth,” Metz noted. “This property will allow The Lab to enhance operational efficiency, expand production capabilities, and better serve clients throughout the New York metropolitan region and beyond.
“We are proud to have helped them secure a facility that aligns with their long-term vision.”
In its social media post, experiential experts The Lab characterized the expansion as more than a new location. The company called it “a major step forward in what we can offer our partners.”
Meanwhile, it still plans to lean into its strengths. “I’m excited to build something that feels unmistakably like The Lab; the same heartbeat and values, just on another coast,” Edwards said in the social post.
