Larken secures approvals for Pohatcong multifamily community

With approvals in place, construction is set to begin on a new multifamily community in Warren County’s Pohatcong in the middle of next year.

Larken Associates announced Aug. 16 it received clearances for Monte View, a 120-unit offering to be located on High Street.

The firm said it anticipates completion of the project, which sits on a 9-acre site less than a mile from the state border with Pennsylvania and just off Interstate 78, in early 2025.

Monte View is the latest addition to Larken Associates’ luxury residential Larken Living brand. The community will be comprised of three, multistory garden-style buildings and one, four-story elevatored building with a ground-level clubhouse. Other amenities on tap for the property include a pool, dog run and fitness center.

“A decades-long commitment to bringing high-quality, luxury residential experiences to underserved markets like Pohatcong stands at the heart of our residential development platform,” said David Gardner, president and CEO of Larken Associates. “We are excited to celebrate the construction of Monte View at Pohatcong as it will be the next chapter in the growth of our multifamily portfolio, and we look forward to bringing this one-of-a-kind residential experience to western Warren County in 2025.”

Ten minutes away is another piece of that portfolio: the 198-unit Autumn Ridge community, which hit full occupancy in June 2021. And according to Larken, in nearby Lopatcong, its 414-unit Warren Heights property recently sold its final unit. Altogether, Larken Living comprises 22 communities with approximately 2,500 owned- and managed residential units across the Northeast.
