  • Products include festive sprinkle cookies, coffee cake, premium coffee, kitchen accessories

A dessert brand founded by “” star Melissa Gorga is growing its local retail footprint.

Following its December 2024 launch, Let’s Sprinkle by MG has landed on the shelves at a dozen area ShopRites supermarkets, as well as all four Livoti’s Old World Market locations. Four-store family-owned chain Caraluzzi’s Markets in Connecticut also carries it, as well as a Top Tomato Supermarket store on Staten Island.

The Bravo personality’s latest partnership will bring her brand to select Kings Food Market locations across New Jersey and New York.

Gorga will celebrate the move with a March 31 appearance at the upscale grocery chain’s location in Short Hills. She is scheduled to be on site from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Gorga will offer autographs to customers who purchase Let’s Sprinkle by MG products.

A fast fan favorite

Since its debut, Let’s Sprinkle by MG’s lineup of festive, bakery-fresh Italian treats has become a fan favorite for holidays, birthdays and everyday moments. As of last fall, the company reported over $1 million in sales.

After starting out with soft, baked-to-order rainbow sprinkle cookies, the brand began offering other products, like sprinkle coffee cake and themed sprinkle cookie varieties. Let’s Sprinkle by MG is also expanding into bags of premium coffee and kitchen accessories, such as mugs and oven mitts.

The brand’s name gives a playful nod to a now-famous moment on “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” where Gorga brought a box of sprinkle cookies to her sister-in-law Teresa Giudice on Christmas Day. Giudice dismissed and threw away the treats, because she said her family prefers traditional Italian pignoli cookies.

Locally manufactured, the treats use premium ingredients – like real butter, pure vanilla bean extract and almond paste – to deliver authentic taste and texture.

In a statement to NJBIZ, Gorga said, “The growth of Let’s Sprinkle by MG has been beyond anything I could have imagined. The response to our Sprinkle Cookies and Coffee Cake has been incredible and expanding into Kings Food Market allows us to continue building a strong presence in New Jersey, which is such an important market for us.”

[B]eing able to expand with retailers across New Jersey makes this milestone even more meaningful for me.

She added, “It’s exciting to give customers the ability to pick up our products in-store, and being able to expand with retailers across New Jersey makes this milestone even more meaningful for me.”

Let’s Sprinkle by MG can be purchased at these stores or online for nationwide shipping.

A ‘Real’ opportunity

This isn’t Gorga’s first food-related venture.

She, her husband and Guidice were previously involved with a now-closed Italian eatery in East Hanover.

Several other “Real Housewives of New Jersey” stars have also made a name in hospitality and consumer packaged goods.

Caroline Manzo’s family has long owned The Brownstone in Paterson, while Kathy Wakile has her own line of cannoli kits and dessert mixes.

Additionally, Guidice recently teamed up with her daughter on a soon-to-open Italian restaurant in downtown Westwood. Guidice has also written several cookbooks based on her Italian-American heritage and launched a sparkling wine brand.
