The basics:

  • Mall inks 6 new retail tenants
  • Aritzia, Crocs, Timberland, Indochino among additions
  • Nearly 30,000 square feet of new leases signed
  • Dick’s House of Sport still on track to open this year

Several new retail options are joining the mix at .

The -owned shopping center announced the following additions July 7:

  • Vancouver-based fashion house Aritzia and its in-store A-OK Café experience serving tea, beverages and pastries 20,340 square feet
  • Footwear retailer Crocs 2,090 square feet

  • Outdoor lifestyle apparel label Timberland 1,800 square feet
  • Denim company True Religion 2,230 square feet
  • Jewelry brand Gorjana 1,107 square feet

According to PREIT, the six new tenants represent nearly 30,000 square feet of leases signed.

PREIT Senior Vice President of Leasing Paula Charles said, “Retailers at this level are choosing their next locations very carefully right now, and the fact that six of them chose Cherry Hill Mall in the same leasing period speaks volumes.

“We’re proud to see this momentum continue even beyond the new leases and tenants the property has added over the past few years. For shoppers, it means more of the brands they want in one place and an experience that keeps getting better every time they visit,” she added.

According to PREIT, Timberland and Crocs are slated for summer launches. Gorjana and Indochino will open by the holiday season, while True Religion is set to unveil its space by early 2027.

Dick’s House of Sport

Sporting goods retailer Dick’s House of Sport is also working to open at the Route 38 property later this year, Philadelphia-based PREIT noted.

The 120,000-square-foot experiential retail concept from Dick’s Sporting Goods is slated to debut this year. Along with selling various sporting goods, the location will offer interactive experiences such as golf bays, climbing walls and multisport cages.

Since unveiling the concept in 2021, the sporting goods retailer has launched roughly 40 Dick’s House of Sport stores nationwide. By the end of 2027, Dick’s expects to have 75 to 100 of the locations across the U.S.

Dick's House of Sport, the largest single-tenant addition to Cherry Hill Mall in over a decade, is scheduled to open in 2026.

Dick’s House of Sport made its New Jersey debut last fall with back-to-back openings at Newport Centre in Jersey City and Freehold Raceway Mall in Freehold. A site is also planned for Rockaway Townsquare in Rockaway.

Retail reinvestment

The interest at Cherry Hill Mall from new retailers comes alongside continued investment from existing tenants.

Specialty retailer Spencer’s relocated to a larger space in late May. The brand has maintained a presence at Cherry Hill Mall since the shopping center first opened in 1961.

Jewelry brand Pandora also moved into a bigger location. And before the holidays, athleisure giant Lululemon is shifting over to an expanded store, PREIT added.

The changes at Cherry Hill Mall come as the property prepares to mark its 65th anniversary in October. Considered PREIT’s flagship property, the mall’s 130-plus retailers make it one of the region’s top shopping destinations.

Just a few of the brands that have moved into Cherry Hill Mall over the past two years include Alo, Coach, Columbia, Dr. Martens, Kendra Scott, Lacoste, Offline by Aerie, Pop Mart, Rowan, Signature Workspace and Suki Hana.
