Hackensack-based oral and maxillofacial surgery platform MAX Surgical Specialty Management has added a 10th Riverside Oral Surgery location to its network.
Oral & Maxillofacial Associates of Montclair is located at 54 Plymouth St. Dr. William Ranucci, a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, leads the practice. He touts more than 32 years of experience, according to a Feb. 11 announcement.
“MAX is a movement of surgeons who are breaking new ground in oral and maxillofacial surgery while protecting what matters most: clinical autonomy,” said Dr. Jason Auerbach, founder and co-CEO of MAX.

“Dr. Ranucci embodies what MAX is about. He has built an exceptional practice,” Auerbach added. “And by partnering with MAX, gains the infrastructure to keep raising the bar while staying focused on delivering outstanding patient outcomes.”
“My mission is to deliver exceptional care in a clean, comfortable environment with minimal risk and side effects,” Ranucci previously noted on his practice’s website.
Taking on “much more than wisdom teeth,” the Montclair practice offers expertise in reconstructive dentistry, frenectomies, implants, bone and ridge grafting, facial trauma, biopsies of the mouth and face, as well as dermal fillers and Botox.
MAX also noted Ranucci is an early adopter of new technologies and advanced surgical techniques.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The MAX and Riverside Oral network also recently welcomed Dr. Vincent Carrao and Dr. Kenneth Press. Both join Riverside Oral’s renovated West Orange office.
Carrao is the board examiner and section co-chair with the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. His past positions include chief of oral and maxillofacial surgery and program director for The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
Press is a former oral surgeon for the New York Jets. He has also served as chairman of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Morristown Medical Center.
Mark Censoprano, co-CEO of MAX, described the new hires as “highly respected leaders in oral and maxillofacial surgery.”
Riverside Oral Surgery ranked No. 48 in the medium company category on the NJBIZ Best Places to Work in New Jersey list for 2025.
Auerbach founded MAX Surgical Specialty Management in October 2022. Its backers include MedEquity Capital, RF Investment Partners and Kian Capital.
MAX now operates across New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Vermont.
