In 2013, Monmouth County-based massage therapist Steven Segovia allegedly engaged in oral sex with two clients, according to officials.

The first instance allegedly happened at a Manalapan Massage Envy; the second at a Freehold Massage Envy, Attorney General Gurbir Grewal said.  

One of the incidents, which Segovia admitted to, was consensual, according to the statement. But he denied he engaged with in inappropriate sexual contact with the other client, the statement said.

In New Jersey, massage therapists are prohibited from having sex with their clients, as per the State Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy.

For agreeing to give up his license, the attorney general’s office and other law enforcement won’t take further action against Segovia.
