A gluten-free line of cookies and baking mixes founded by a New Jersey mom is hitting the shelves of several leading supermarket across the U.S.

In an Aug. 12 press release, Woodbridge-based Mightylicious announced distribution deals with nearly a dozen retailers.

According to Mightylicious, customers can now find its soft-baked cookies at:

• Harris Teeter
• Earth Fare
• Big Y
• Schnucks
• Kowalski’s Markets
• SpartanNash
• Market of Choice

The product is also coming soon to Hy-Vee, ShopRite and Winn-Dixie, the brand added. And both ShopRite and Earth Fare carry Mightylicious baking mixes, the release said.

Following the latest expansions, Mightylicious’ retail footprint reaches nearly 1,100 stores and counting nationwide, according to a spokesperson. The brand already sells at Fairway, King’s Food Markets, Walmart, Costco, Whole Foods Market and Price Chopper, as well as via the Mightylicious website.

Mightylicious founder and CEO Carolyn Haeler shared, “This expanded distribution enables more shoppers across the country to discover our award-winning products while supporting our retail partners with a premium brand that continues to resonate with today’s health-conscious and quality-focused consumers.”

Mighty start

After being diagnosed with celiac disease in 2012, Haeler spent years searching for a gluten-free brand that would satisfy her sweet tooth. However, the self-described cookie lover was disappointed by what she found.

By 2018, she came up with a winning recipe of white rice flour, brown rice flour and tapioca flour and officially launched Mightylicious.

Along with being 100% free of gluten, wheat and rye, Mightylicious cookies contain all-natural, non-GMO ingredients. They are also certified kosher.

The brand’s flavors include Oatmeal Coconut, Brown Butter Short Bread, Oatmeal Raisin, Double Dutch Chocolate Chip, Salted Peanut Butter, Chocolate Chip and Brown Butter Chocolate Chip. It also offers a vegan Chocolate Chip Cookie.

In 2024, Mightylicious introduced high-quality gluten-free flour blends in three varieties –all-purpose, vegan all-purpose and vegan chocolate brownie mix. The trio are certified gluten-free, kosher, non-GMO certified and free from key allergens, according to the company.

A three-pack of individually wrapped cookies sells for $8.99. Mightylicious baking mixes also have a suggested retail price of $8.99, according to the brand.

In recent years, Mightylicious has earned numerous industry accolades for its commitment to high-quality products that appeal to both gluten-free consumers and mainstream shoppers alike. Good Housekeeping recently named the brand’s oatmeal coconut cookie as one of the best snacks of the year in 2025 and 2026.
