New Jersey Resources elevated Robert Pohlman to vice president of NJR Clean Energy Ventures and Corporate Strategy, effective immediately.
In the new position, announced Aug. 9, Pohlman will have oversight of and be responsible for developing NJR‘s renewable energy business in addition to driving new growth opportunities and strategic initiatives across the broader company.
“NJR Clean Energy Ventures is a core part of our business and growth strategy,” New Jersey Resources President and CEO Steve Westhoven said in a statement. “With his extensive experience in the sustainable investment space, Bobby has played a key role in our company’s investment of over $1 billion in renewable infrastructure over the last decade and helped grow CEV into one of the largest solar owner/operators in New Jersey.”
“He has proven himself to be a strong, capable leader in every job he’s held,” Westhoven continued. “I am confident Bobby will continue to facilitate growth and success at CEV as we invest in and deliver cleaner energy to our customers.”
Pohlman joined Wall-based New Jersey Resources in 2011 as director of business development for CEV. He was named chief of staff to the president and CEO in 2019 and served as managing director of innovation and strategic initiatives before his 2021 promotion to vice president-strategy, communications, government relations and policy.
Before NJR, Pohlman was vice president at Citadel LLC and assistant vice president at Suisse Energy LLC and Barclays Capital Inc.
In addition to CEV, New Jersey Resources is comprised of five primary businesses: New Jersey Natural Gas, its principal subsidiary; Energy Services; Storage and Transportation; and Home Services.
