The New Jersey CannaBusiness Association is launching a first-of-its-kind health benefit exclusively for its members.

Presented in partnership with Iselin-based World Insurance Associates and Health Cooperative Strategies, the program aims to give the cannabis industry another way to compete by offering access to broad, nationwide networks of providers, physicians, hospitals and pharmacies.

Built specifically for NJCBA members, their employees and dependents, the program has multiple plan designs, a wide selection of deductibles and low-cost options.

NJCBA President Scott Rudder said the trade group has “long searched for a cost-effective health program” for members.

“The is excited to not only offer this first-of-its-kind program that will directly benefit our members but also to provide a comprehensive benefits package that enables our members to attract and retain the best possible talent,” Rudder shared in a statement.

“Our health plan features innovative, state-of-the-art cost containment tools that benefit members, their employees, and families, providing tools for cannabis entrepreneurs to succeed from an economic perspective,” said Rudder, who owns one of the almost 200 dispensaries in New Jersey.

According to NJCBA, the program officially began Feb. 1 and members can join on the first of any month.
