Now one of the longest-serving health executives in New Jersey, Meyers leads one of the state’s busiest hospitals and a multi-specialty network that employs more than 4,000 physicians and staffers.
She is currently gearing up to celebrate the long-awaited opening in April of the new Valley Hospital in Paramus. Located on a 40-acre campus, the 370-bed, 875,000-square-foot facility will replace Valley’s longtime home in nearby Ridgewood and offer inpatient, outpatient, emergency and surgical care. Additionally, it incorporates energy efficiency, space utilization and “smart hospital” design elements, like artificial intelligence, smart beds and Real Time location systems.
As part of Valley’s ongoing commitment to meet the rapidly changing health care needs of North Jersey, the system also launched a facility in March specifically to provide comprehensive health care services for the LGBTQ+ community in an inviting and safe space.
Valley’s recent honors include being named as one of the world’s best hospitals by Newsweek, making it one of the top three hospitals in New Jersey and 137th in the U.S. for 2024. Earlier this year, Money ranked The Valley Hospital as one of the best 115 hospitals in the U.S.
Commenting on the newest recognitions, Meyers described it as “a testament to the innovative work of our doctors, nurses and staff in delivering an exceptional patient experience” and reiterated Valley’s commitment “to providing high-quality care and service to our patients and their families through our specialized programs and distinctive technologies, as well as through our partnerships with Cleveland Clinic’s Heart, Vascular and Thoracic Institute and the Mount Sinai Health System.”
