Office tenant expands to 18K square feet at Glenpointe

Interstate Waste Services Inc.’s footprint is growing at in Teaneck.

Alfred Sanzari Enterprises said May 9 the Glenpoint Centre East tenant signed a lease expansion to bring its total headquarters office space to nearly 18,000 square feet. The firm was represented by Newmark Executive Managing Director Jeff Schotz, Senior Managing Director Peter Rossi, Managing Director Dan Reider, Associate Peter Kasparian and Vice Chairman David Simson, while Interstate Waste Services was represented by Andrew Zezas, CEO of Real Estate Strategies Corp.

IWS has been a Glenpointe tenant since 2013.

One of the fastest growing waste collection and recycling firms nationwide, the third-generation family-owned company has more than 30 owned and operated facilities across New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio.

According to Alfred Sanzari, IWS’s growth in recent years created the need for extra space to support the operations of its customer service team. In 2022, the tenant announced three acquisitions, of companies based in Rockaway, Ewing and Newark.

“During our time at Glenpointe, our firm has experienced an exciting amount of growth as we continue to serve businesses and clients in need of waste removal and management services,” said Interstate Waste Services CFO Brian Giambagno in a statement. “We were happy to work with to expand our footprint at Glenpointe and better align our space with our business’ growth goals.”

Since 2022, the 670,000-square-foot corporate campus located at 300 Frank W. Burr Blvd. has recorded almost 100,000 square feet of activity, according to Alfred Sanzari. That includes the addition of other company headquarters, including for Regional Cancer Care Associates, which chose Glenpointe for its HQ earlier this year; Kolmar Korea, which occupies more than 16,000 square feet for its U.S. base; and the more than 150-year-old Leica Camera Inc., which moved its North American headquarters from Allendale to the campus.

Glenpointe currently has spaces available from 1,550 square feet up to full-floors of 52,000 square feet in addition to a contiguous block of more than 95,000 square feet, Aflred Sanzari said.

Last fall, Marketplace, An Urban Eatery made its debut at the campus, offering fresh and locally sourced, made-to-order and grab ‘n’ go meals. The $2 million investment is just one of the amenities available at the campus. Glenpointe also includes the 26,000-square-foot Glenpointe Fitness Center; The Green, a 22,000-square-foot multipurpose outdoor space; The Pointe, an onsite community lounge; 700 hotel rooms at three on-site hotels; covered parking; and 24/7 security.
