After unveiling plans for a 20-club rollout last year, Pickleball Kingdom pinpointed another Garden State locale due for a new center. 

The Chandler, Ariz.-based company announced Oct. 10 franchisee Ved Mishra will bring a new pickleball facility to Marlboro Township. Pickleball Kingdom did not immediately return a request for information about an exact location or estimated opening date. 

“We are thrilled to bring Pickleball Kingdom to the Marlboro Township community,” Pickleball Kingdom founder and CEO Ace Rodrigues said in a statement. “Ved has a deep passion for the sport and an exceptional understanding of how to build strong community-driven spaces. We are confident that this club will be a top destination for players of all levels in the area.” 

According to the brand, the new Marlboro club will feature: 

• State-of-the-art indoor courts  
• Professional coaching and clinics for players of all abilities and levels 
• Youth programs  
• Leagues and tournaments  
• Community and corporate events 

Pickleball takeover

A self-described “avid pickleball player,” Mishra brings more than 20 years’ experience in technology leadership and team management to the brand, according to the announcement. 

“With a deep passion for pickleball and racquet sports, I’ve always been driven by the energy and camaraderie they inspire,” Mishra said. “I’m committed to promoting the sport and engaging with the local community to foster an active, healthy lifestyle.” 

The Marlboro announcement follows the brand’s first New Jersey center set for Hamilton. It’s the latest in the slew of new facilities offering fans of the nation’s fastest-growing sport a place to play, including:

• Sussex County’s first freestanding pickleball center;
• A former Bed Bath & Beyond in Ocean County that will house The Picklr club;
• A PickleRage location set to open in Moorestown by the end of the fourth quarter;
• And the largest pickleball facility in the Northeast planning to launch in Robbinsville this year.
