Corey Richey has been named chief executive officer of Recovery Centers of America’s Mays Landing 133-bed inpatient substance use disorder treatment center, known as Lighthouse.

Lighthouse’s former CEO, Dawn Belamarich, was promoted to senior vice president of clinical and operational excellence, the organization announced Feb. 4.

Richey was previously Lighthouse’s admissions director before becoming interim CEO at RCA Bracebridge Hall, seeing that facility through the pandemic from November 2020 to November 2021. While at RCA Bracebridge Hall, the company said that Richey wrote policies, hired the newly opened recovery residence’s staff, and led Bracebridge Hall team to introduce specialty programming.

Richey has 10 years of experience in addiction and psychiatric care, initially beginning in case management and then expanding to mental health screener in a psychiatric crisis center. She’s a native of Atlantic City.

“In my new role as CEO, I am lucky enough to lead an entire facility full of people who are passionate about helping others and are 100% behind our mission,” Richey said. “The work that every individual does in our building, whether inpatient or outpatient, is so important and has become even more critical as we see mental health issues and addiction continue to rise throughout the pandemic. Our staff has continued to come in to work every day and their dedication is unmatched. I am blessed to be able to be part of and lead such an amazing team.”

Richey will oversee all operations at RCA at Lighthouse, one of the state’s leading addiction treatment providers. Overall, Pennsylvania-based RCA has treated over 40,000 patients for substance use disorder, including at its facilities in South Amboy, Mays Landing, Voorhees, Trenton, Woodbridge and Somerdale.
