Three months after opening, in is more than half leased — with another phase of construction underway.

This week, the luxury property from and Dinallo Construction Corp. located at 377 Crane St. announced its 209 units are currently 60% leased.

With 23,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities, Essex & Crane is one of the largest and most amenity-rich apartment communities in Orange and along the Route 280 corridor, according to its development team. The transit-oriented community is directly adjacent to the Orange New Jersey Transit Train Station.

And according to Russo Property Management President Adam Pasternack, features like that that are contributing to the community’s success.

“Bringing our brand to Orange not only encapsulates Mayor Warren’s vision of the Main Street Redevelopment Area – but the pace of leasing also demonstrates that we are offering a home that fits people’s lifestyles that has not yet been available in the area,” Pasternack said in an Aug. 21 statement.

Phase 2 of the project will bring Essex & Crane’s total units to more than 400.

According to the announcement, Russo and Dinallo, a subsidiary of Terminal Construction Corp., worked closely with Orange Mayor Dwayne Warren and his administration on the project.

Warren, Terminal Construction President and CEO Donald Dinallo, Orange Council President Tency Eason and Council Vice President Adrienne Wooten were among those on-hand to celebrate the opening of Essex & Crane in June.

Russo directly manages the property, offering onsite community activities, ranging from weekend brunches to sports viewing parties and fitness classes.

The building offers studio and one-, two- and three-bedroom floorplans.

Based on leasing activity thus far at the property, two-bedroom units are drawing particular interest, with the extra space able to function as a home office for hybrid or remote workers.

Essex & Crane marks the third residential collaboration between Russo Development and Dinallo Construction.
