The Rutgers School of Business-Camden announced Tuesday it received reaccreditation from AACSB International – according to Rutgers the highest level of certification for business schools – for a standard, six-year term.

A peer review team visited the school and cited its advances in online learning, its creation of the Rutgers University Student Executive program for high school students, and the Student Experience Center as points of commendation. The team also recognized the growth of the business school at Rutgers-Camden, which characterized the school’s strategic plan as “robust and ambitious” with “a great deal of dynamism in the development and refinement of educational programs.”

Haddon

“The school benefits from a very dynamic and innovative decanal leader who has dramatically increased revenue and enjoys very broad support among an exceptionally collegial faculty,” the team said acknowledging Dean Jaishankar Ganesh and the business school’s personnel.

Said Rutgers-Camden Chancellor Phoebe Haddon in a prepared statement: “This reaccreditation symbolizes the overarching excellence of Rutgers University-Camden.”

Rutgers Camden, which enrolls 1,511 undergraduate and 441 graduate students, said it was the first institution in South Jersey to earn AACSB accreditation in 1995, and received its first reaccreditation in 2003. About 570 business schools in North and South America have achieved AACSB accreditation.
