Officials gathered for a Sept. 23 ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the new at .

Located at 1980 Route 9 on the southbound side, the 72,000-square-foot, three-story multispecialty facility will begin welcoming patients Sept. 29. 

A RWJBarnabas representative told NJBIZ the provider invested $40 million in the new facility.

Staffed with health care providers from RWJBarnabas Health Medical Group, and , the facility will offer: 

  • Family First  
  • Heart and vascular services 
  • GI/digestive health 
  • General surgery 
  • Endocrinology 
  • Neurosciences 
  • Primary care 

A Sept. 23 announcement said the Old Bridge investment “is part of a larger, systemwide strategy to expand access to high-quality, coordinated outpatient care in a centralized setting.” 

In March, RWJBarnabas opened its largest academic ambulatory outpatient facility to date: the 229,000-square-foot, 15-story Ambulatory Medical Pavilion located on the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital campus in New Brunswick. 

New Jersey’s largest academic health system, West Orange-based RWJBarnabas said it has plans to open additional ambulatory care centers in other parts of the state.

“RWJBarnabas Health at Old Bridge isn’t just a new building,” said RWJBarnabas President and CEO Mark Manigan. “It’s a promise fulfilled and a physical representation of our commitment to expand access to high-quality care closer to home—and under one roof—across New Jersey neighborhoods, so busy families don’t have to travel unnecessarily to multiple locations to get the care they need.” 

Dr. Richard Mojares, CEO of Family First Urgent Care, said the new site gives “families convenient access to exceptional care when and where they need it most.” 

The Old Bridge facility will add services in the future, including:  

  • JAG Physical Therapy 
  • The Matthew J. Morahan III Health Assessment Center for Athletes 
  • LabCorp 
  • New Jersey Imaging Network (NJIN) 
  • Oncology/hematology and infusion, with  
  • Rheumatology 
  • Sports medicine
