One of the most prominent physical and occupational therapy providers in the Northeast, Bridgewater-based JAG Physical Therapy has more than 150 locations throughout New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.

Founded in 2005 by John Gallucci Jr. as a small practice in West Orange, the company specializes in general orthopedic, sports and soft tissue injuries, with a personalized treatment plan for each patient. It also serves as the official provider of physical therapy for entities including Rutgers University Athletics, New York City FC, New Jersey Devils, Princeton University Athletics and Columbia University Athletics.

Following its September 2023 rebrand from JAG-ONE Physical Therapy to JAG Physical Therapy, the practice has continued its rapid expansion. In February, Inc. magazine named it as one of the fastest-growing companies in the region, posting gains of more than 100%. The past year also saw Gallucci publish a book about his career in the sports, health care and business worlds.

Shortly after the book’s release on Amazon.com, he told NJBIZ, “The community needs access to health care, and I have built the company to be a gateway for the community to access health care… And, ultimately, we push that all the way through our entire company to every employee – not just the providers – that people are hurt and ill, and they are turning to us for their care. We have to put our best foot forward. And community access and engagement – you can’t be a health care provider and not ingrained in your community. And we have put our best foot forward as an example of the importance of that.”
