Founded in 1994, Elmwood Park-based Dr. Praeger’s is a leader in the all-natural, vegetarian, gluten-free and kosher frozen food categories.

It launched with a mission to create nutritious and convenient frozen food that also tasted good – so that it would encourage sensible eating.

Dr. Praeger’s offers products including veggie burgers, sustainable seafood, hash browns, puffs and bowls.

In September, Anita Gogia joined as CFO – bringing experience from both public and private equity-backed ventures in the consumer-packaged goods and distribution sectors.

Last month, the company received a shoutout from PETA for being among the first brands to sign on to its new program aimed at helping shoppers identify food and beverage companies that don’t test on animals.
