Scotch Porter, Amazon Prime partner on Newark-focused product bundle

New Jersey – in particular – is a sacred piece of the DNA of men’s haircare brand Scotch Porter, according to Chief Executive Officer Calvin Quallis.

It’s his hometown and the birthplace of his brand, and the home of its new headquarters, too.

That connection is further highlighted by the brand’s new partnership with Amazon Prime Video, with which it launched a limited-edition Without Remorse product bundle in honor of the release and popularity of Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse film, starring Newark-born actor Michael B. Jordan.

The partnership came about organically: An Amazon Prime Video team member happened to be a Scotch Porter customer, and he suggested the brand be included in Prime’s promotional partner mix.

“We worked closely with our liaison, Fusion Promotional Marketing to develop [and] deploy an impactful marketing mix that was authentic to our brand, captured the essence of the lead character portrayed by Newark’s own, Michael B. Jordan, and lended support to the launch of [the film],” Quallis said.

The product bundle includes exfoliating face scrub, anti-odor wipes, and beard conditioner for $29.99. Without Remorse debuted on Amazon Prime on April 30.

“To me, this city is home — a cultural hub that drives economic advancement amongst its diverse inhabitants,” Quallis said about Newark. “It is for this reason that I, as a founder, find it extremely important to take Newark with us as we continue to scale as a brand.”
