Listen to this articleMilwaukee-based Brady Corp. acquires Sorbent Products.SOMERSET Sorbent Products Co. Inc. has been acquired by Milwaukee-based Brady Corp. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Sorbent Products makes so-called synthetic sorbent materials used in industrial and environmental settings to help clean, contain and control spills. Founded in 1977, the company reported sales of about $47 million last year. Sorbent Products has 170 employees in the United States, Belgium and Hong Kong.

Brady manufactures safety labels and signs, printing systems and precision die-cut materials, and other goods. The company has about 9,000 employees and reported sales of $1 billion in fiscal 2006.
