South Korean airline leaves NYC for Glenpointe's 'work-play-stay' campus

A new tenant is preparing to land at North Jersey’s Glenpointe, leaving its New York City location for the flexible space, amenities and major highway access offered by the corporate campus.

On Nov. 3, Alfred Sanzari Enterprises said Asiana Airlines leased 2,511 square feet of office space at Glenpointe, located at 300, 400 and 500 Frank W. Burr Blvd. in Teaneck.

The commercial and residential real estate firm was represented by Jeff Schotz, Peter Rossi, Dan Reider, Peter Kasparian and David Simson of Newmark in the transaction while Kyoung Tae (K.T.) Kim of PMPA Inc. represented Asiana Airlines.

Based in Seoul, with offices worldwide, Asiana Airlines is South Korea’s premier global airline, Alfred Sanzari said, flying 111 routes to 34 countries, and offering international cargo transport services.

“The combination of amenities, flexibility and ease of access found at campuses like Glenpointe can often be difficult to find in New York City,” said Carolina Gutierrez, manager, Leasing and Marketing at Alfred Sanzari Enterprises. “We are increasingly seeing New York City-based companies like Asiana Airlines looking to New Jersey as a viable option as they determine their future office space needs.”

The Glenpointe campus boasts a “work-play-stay” experience across its 670,000 square feet, featuring a 26,000-square-foot fitness center, 700 hotel rooms across three on-site properties, dining options, covered parking and 24/7 security. It also has a partnership with tenant engagement services company Better Spaces, which operates The Pointe – an on-site community lounge, and offers more than 40 weekly programs and classes through its app.

Capital improvements have been made across the property in recent years, including redesigned breakout and common areas, upgraded lighting and The Green: a 22,000-square-foot multipurpose outdoor amenity space.

There is a range of available space at Glenpointe, from 3,000 square feet to full-floor availabilities.
