Sprouts’ Haddonfield opening marks 400th-store milestone

Sprouts Farmers Market, a fast-growing grocery chain known for fresh, natural and organic food, is celebrating the opening of its 400th store.

Located at 640 W. Cuthbert Blvd. in Haddon Township, the 23,000-square-foot space offers a farmers market experience with an open layout, community feel and produce at the heart of the store.

Following its Sept. 8 grand opening, Sprouts Chief Executive Officer Jack Sinclair said the occasion “not only marks a significant milestone” for the Phoenix, Ariz.-based chain, but also represents “our success in offering high quality better-for-you products to our customers coast-to-coast.”

This marks Sprouts’ second supermarket in New Jersey since the chain made its debut four years ago in Marlton.

The grocer also reportedly plans to open two more New Jersey locations, in Aberdeen and Washington Township.

Founded in 2002, Sprouts offers a wide selection of natural and organic foods, including fresh produce, meat, poultry, seafood, baked goods, vitamins, household items, body care, dairy products and packaged groceries.

As part of a five-year plan aimed at growing beyond its current 23-state footprint, the company plans to expand 10% year-over-year. After opening Haddonfield Township – its 23rd store this year – Sprouts is more than halfway to its goal of launching 30 locations in 2023.
