Football fans who plan to host a Super Bowl party can expect to pay more for their spread than they did last year, according to a new report by the Wells Fargo Agri-Food Institute.

To entertain 10 guests on game day, consumers can expect to shell out about $140, a 1.6% increase from 2025, Wells Fargo found.

For its fifth annual Food Report, Wells Fargo utilized consumer and industry data from various sources, including the United States Department of Agriculture, Nielsen and Circana, to examine the prices of popular game-day ingredients and prepared items.

Ingredients analyzed included , shrimp, frozen pizza, tortilla chips, salsa, cheese dip, avocados, potato chips, onion flavor dip, prepared carrots, celery, cherry tomatoes, red bell peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, beer and wine, according to the report.

What’s cheaper

  • Chicken wings -2.8%
  • Frozen pizza -0.6%
  • Tortilla chips -0.7%
  • Avocados -2.4%
  • Red bell peppers -3.1%
  • Prepared carrots -3.1%

Wells Fargo pointed out that the cost of two party staples – nacho cheese and potato chips – stayed flat year-over-year.

What’s more expensive

  • Shrimp +8.1%
  • Cherry tomatoes +2%
  • Celery +2.6%
  • Broccoli +4%
  • Cauliflower +4%
  • Salsa +1.7%
  • Onion-flavored dips +1.5%
  • Beer +1.3%

‘Still a win’

Wells Fargo noted that while food prices have crept up, average hourly wages have risen 3.8% to $31.99 over the past year. That means party throwers have a little more room to celebrate without breaking the bank, it said.

“Fans who shop smart and plan accordingly can expect to serve up a feast without overspending. Big winners this year include chicken wings, chips, guacamole, and selective veggie trays, offering affordable options that keep the party going,” Wells Fargo said. “ … Bottom line: Super Bowl 2026 is still a win for hosts and guests alike.”
