Treasury officials encourage residents to check the more than 236,000 records to see if they have money or property to be claimed.

On Aug. 15, the Department of Treasury began mailing letters to the more than 1.3 million taxpayers who received a payment through the ANCHOR program last year, informing them that they will not – in most circumstances – have to refile an application to receive this year’s payment.
