Erin Berman has joined Florio Perrucci Steinhardt Cappelli Tipton & Taylor LLC as of counsel.
Berman focuses her practice on education and special education law including student discipline and manifestation determinations, student residency, civil rights, disputes between districts, reductions-in-force, tenure issues, the School Ethics Act, and board policies and regulations.
Prior to joining the firm, Berman served as in-house counsel to a group of special education independent schools. She began her legal career with an extended clerkship with the New Jersey Office of Administrative Law.
Alongside Berman, Jordynn Jackson joins as an associate focusing on civil litigation, education, labor and employment. She comes to the firm from the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, where she was a deputy attorney general.
Shifra Tarica joined Florio Perrucci Steinhardt Cappelli Tipton & Taylor LLC as of counsel.
Her practice concentrates on education law, as she provides general and special education representation to public boards of education and other educational institutions in New Jersey.

Tarica counsels her clients on areas of school law, including issues involving student discipline, student residency, civil rights, staff discipline, tenure rights, the Anti-Bullying Bill of Rights Act, the School Ethics Act, the Open Public Records Act, the Open Public Meetings Act, board policy review and development, as well as employment and contract matters.
She also handles Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act matters.
Tarica provides in-service training on a broad variety of school law and special education topics for school administrators, district personnel, and child study teams.
John Mininno joined Florio Perrucci Steinhardt Cappelli Tipton & Taylor LLC as of counsel and a member of the litigation group, the law firm announced Oct. 11.
Mininno returns to the practice of law after building The NHCAGroup, a startup focused on uncovering Medicare fraud. In the past 10 years, Mininno said taxpayers recouped nearly $1 billion from the complex cases he helped initiate across the country.
Prior to starting The NHCAGroup, Mininno was an accomplished trial attorney and was certified as a civil trial attorney by the Supreme Court of New Jersey. He successfully tried dozens of cases in New Jersey Superior Courts, United States District Courts, and the Court of Common Pleas in Philadelphia.
“John is a great addition to our litigation team. His creativity, passion, and years of experience as a trial attorney will certainly benefit our clients,” said Lou Cappelli, firm name partner and managing partner of the firm’s Cherry Hill office.
Mininno is based out of the Cherry Hill office, and he is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
