The Campbell’s Co. looked to its own leadership teams to fill two key senior management positions, the Camden-based food giant announced April 15:
Duggan will succeed Chris Foley, who has served as president of snacks since 2022 and will leave the company after 25 years in July.
The change comes as Campbell’s strengthens its snacks, sauces and beverages divisions.
In her new role, Duggan will oversee the long-term growth and expansion of the snacks division. She will work closely with Foley to ensure a smooth transition.
Duggan joined Campbell’s in 2019 as senior vice president, Transformation Office, and moved into her current role in 2022. She previously held leadership positions with companies including McKinsey & Co. and Home Chef.
Mackenzie Davison, currently vice president, Marketing–Canada, will succeed Duggan as president of the Canadian business.
Luken will serve as Campbell’s first chief growth officer. She will be responsible for leading enterprise-wide growth strategies, elevating key commercial capabilities and beyond, the company said.
A more than 20-year veteran of the food industry, Lukin joined Campbell’s in 2016 as vice president, Marketing, for beverages. In 2018, she was named vice president of marketing for soup before taking on her current role the following year.
The company credited Lukin with multiple achievements. Those include returning the soups division to growth as well as increasing “the pace of innovation” in snacks.
Before joining Campbell’s, Lukin held leadership positions at Mondelēz International – including overseeing the Oreo and Chips Ahoy business – as well as Kraft Foods.
Duggan and Lukin will both report to Campbell’s President and CEO Mick Beekhuizen, who recently moved to the head of the company. The leaders will also become corporate officers and members of the company’s operating committee.
“Elizabeth and Janda have each played pivotal roles in transforming Campbell’s over the last several years. They are the right leaders to drive our strategy and take our performance to the next level,” Beekhuizen said in a statement.
Beekhuizen also thanked Foley for his contributions during his two-and-half decades with the company. In 2022, Beekhuizen succeed Foley as president of meals and beverages while the latter was appointed to lead the snacks division.
“Chris has made tremendous contributions during his Campbell’s career, including successfully leading both divisions. He is an outstanding executive and person who leaves a legacy of excellence at our company,” Beekhuizen said. “He has been a valued partner to me and others, and we all wish him the best in the next step in his career.”
Saying “the time has come for me to move on,” Foley called being part of Campbell’s for 25 “incredible” years “a source of endless pride.”
