Top US grocery in-store foodservice retailers boast NJ locations

To determine the top 50 prepared foods operations in the U.S., Supermarket News partnered with its sister company Technomic to analyze companies based on estimated average sales per location.
According to the trade publication, in-store foodservice offerings that seek to re-create fast-casual fare are increasingly driving prepared-food sales at supermarkets. In addition to offering dedicated counter service concepts, grocers are branding their grab-and-go prepared meals, entrées and sides.
Global retailers like Mitsuwa Marketplace, H Mart, 99 Ranch Market and Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace also ranked well on this year’s list, Supermarket News noted.
