Unilever signed an agreement Thursday to acquire vitamin and supplement brand Olly Nutrition.

Eric Ryan founded Olly Nutrition in 2014 in San Francisco after co-founding home and personal care product company Method. Olly, a B corporation, sells gummy vitamins, supplements, protein powders, and snack bars.
“Olly is a strong, innovative brand in the fast-growing health and well-being space, and nicely complements our businesses in Beauty & Personal Care and Foods & Refreshment,” said Unilever North America President Amanda Sourry in a statement. “Olly’s focus on making nutrition delightfully easy aligns closely with Unilever values and our continued commitment to improving people’s well-being.”
Ryan will continue to manage Olly in San Francisco but will assume to role of chief growth officer. Current Olly Chief Operation Officer Gerry Chesser will take over as chief executive officer.
The acquisition is subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions. Financial terms of the detail were not disclosed.
