Wahlburgers – the burger brand founded by brothers and actors Mark and Donnie Wahlberg and chef Paul Wahlberg – is adding a second spot in New Jersey.
The new location is part of the company’s growth strategy that includes high-traffic locations and strategic partnerships.
Through a new collaboration with Bass Pro Shops, Wahlburgers will open an eatery in Sayreville this year, according to a Jan. 26 announcement.
According to NJ.com, the forthcoming 200,000-square-foot sporting goods retailer will be the anchor tenant for a $2.5 billion Middlesex County redevelopment project.
Wahlburgers currently operates one Garden State restaurant, located in Ocean Casino Resort in Atlantic City.
The brand will open other locations around the country through partnerships with The Home Depot, airports such as Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport and Big Cypress Lodge.
“This will be an exciting year of growth for Wahlburgers as we continue to deliver strong year-over-year performance,” said Randy Sharpe, CEO of Wahlburgers. “From expanding into new markets to diversifying our offerings through new experiences and touchpoints, Wahlburgers is the brand to watch.”
Debuting in October 2011 in Hingham, Mass., Wahlburgers’ menu includes premium burgers, as well as signature items such as The Super Melt, Crispy Bone-In Wings, Meatball Hoagie and Salted Caramel Shake. The restaurant also offers entrée salads, vegetarian and gluten-free options.
