Fast growing food hall and delivery concept Wonder expects to add at least six more locations in New Jersey this fall.
Following an Aug. 7 scheduled grand opening at 1 Route 37 in Toms River, the next planned sites include:
Featuring a collection of acclaimed chefs and eateries, Wonder allows customers to order from multiple restaurants at once. Everything is made-to-order at a Wonder storefront and delivered within 30 minutes. The eatery also offers pick-up and limited dine-in options.
Available menus include: Limesalt, Tejas Barbecue, Fred’s Meat & Bread, Yasas by Michael Symon, Streetbird by Marcus Samuelsson, Burger Baby, Wing Trip, Alanza Pizza, Room for Dessert, Detroit Brick Pizza Co., Royal Greens, Hanu Poke, Di Fara Pizza, Bellies (kids), Bobby Flay Steak, The Mainstay by Marc Murphy, Walnut Lane and Maydan.
Billionaire entrepreneur Marc Lore founded Wonder in 2018. The concept originally revolved around mobile kitchens that prepared chef-designed meals outside customers’ homes. In January 2023 it shifted focus to physical locations featuring options from restaurants Wonder has licensing deals with.
Since then, Wonder has grown to 56 spots across the Northeast.
Westfield, Hoboken, Springfield, Midland Park, Cresskill, Ledgewood, Teterboro, New Providence, Livingston, Parsippany, Randolph, Green Brook, Middletown, Cherry Hill, Brick, Woodbridge, Shrewsbury
In order to reach its goal of 90 locations by the end of 2025, Lore recently said he expects to open one outpost per week for the remainder of the year.
Of the $1.85 billion in capital Wonder has received from investors since its 2018 launch, it raised $1.5 billion in the past year alone. The company – which has its R&D facility in Parsippany – is reportedly valued at more than $7 billion.
To support its growth, Wonder made several key acquisitions. Deals include adding meal kit provider Blue Apron for $103 million and on-demand delivery platform Grubhub for $650 million.
