World Insurance Associates acquires Metuchen agency

World Insurance Associates LLC, headquartered in Iselin, continues to expand its footprint, having now completed 147 acquisitions since its founding in 2012. Its most recent is of a fellow Garden State firm, Lubowicki Insurance Agency Inc. of Metuchen, WIA announced May 16.

Founded in 1968, Lubowicki serves Middlesex, Somerset, Union, Monmouth and Hunterdon counties, offering car, home and business insurance, according to its website.

“Providing superior customer service and low rates, along with our ability to understand our customer’s coverage needs drives the success of our agency,” Ed Lubowicki, agency president, said in a statement. “We look forward to offering our clients even more insurance solutions as part of World Insurance.”

Rich Eknoian, CEO and co-founder of WIA, welcomed the Lubowicki team to WIA and complimented the firm on “a great job assisting their clients with identifying their insurance needs and problems, and then putting together a customized plan that’s simple and easy to understand.”

Giordano, Halleran & Ciesla provided legal counsel to WIA, and Becker LLC provided legal counsel to Lubowicki Insurance. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, nor were other advisors, diligence firms or legal counsel.
