Adidas debuts World of Soccer flagship at American Dream (photos)

A -focused flagship from has made its U.S. debut in New Jersey.

Located at American Dream in East Rutherford, the newly opened occupies 9,000 square feet. The space from the Portland-based athletics goods chain aims to offer “an immersive, soccer-driven retail experience that spotlights the sport’s culture through premium footwear, performance apparel and exclusive collections,” the mall said.

The arrival comes ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026 this summer. Eight of those matches will play right next door to the megamall at MetLife Stadium.

Chief Marketing Officer Adam Petrick shared, “As excitement around the World Cup continues to grow, American Dream is proud to welcome adidas and a store concept that celebrates the global passion for soccer.”

“This opening reinforces our commitment to bringing iconic brands and culturally relevant experiences to our guests, especially as the world turns its attention to the global game,” he said.

It’s also part of a larger slate of World Cup-related activities and programs planned this year at American Dream.

World of Soccer soft launched last week. A grand opening event with athlete appearances and other festivities will take place Feb. 25. The store is now open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
