American Standard is breathing a bit easier after the dismissal of a class-action suit.American Standard (NYSE: ASD), a Piscataway-based maker of kitchen and bath products, air conditioning systems and vehicle controls, is breathing a bit easier after the dismissal of a class-action suit against the company. The complaint accused American Standard of price fixing on bathroom and kitchen fixtures.

The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania granted a motion for dismissal of the case, ruling the complaint failed to provide the company with notice of the grounds the claims were based on. The court did grant the plaintiff 30 days to amend the complaint before ruling on a final dismissal. Shares of American Standard were down $0.12 to $38.33 in morning trading.
