Atlantic City’s casino industry is set to welcome visitors as it marks the unofficial start to its key summer season.

And a number of factors set the stage for this year to be even better than last.

“Atlantic City casinos are ready to welcome new and returning visitors this summer with the best dining, entertainment, and gaming amenities on the East Coast,” said Mark Giannantonio, president, Casino Association of New Jersey (CANJ).

Industry leaders and stakeholders point to the following as to why they are optimistic about the summer ahead:

• Significant capital investments – with operators spending more than $200 million in capital expenditures in 2024 on new and revitalized dining, retail and gaming spaces. Over the past five years, the industry has invested more than $1 billion on projects.
• Completion of a $40 million beach restoration project – adding additional beachfront near the North Beach casino properties.
• Return of the airshow – as the reimagined Visit Atlantic City Soar & Shore Festival in July.
• Top music and comedy acts appearing at casinos all summer long.
• Strong meeting, event and convention numbers in the first portion of the year – which Atlantic City looks to build on in the busy summer season.

Niceties and necessities
